Meet your new besties

Based out of Kansas City, we have been in the wedding industry for a combined 15 years and know that no two couples are the same! That’s why we make it our mission to know you both, your story and all the gooey details of how you want your day, so it can be as unique and perfect as you are.


Our journey cheering on couples as they say “I do” has taught us and grown us and we love being able to share in the love of two individuals and feel blessed to get to work with such wonderful vendors and love birds each day!

I’m Emily and this tall drink of water is Shane! We are the owners & lead coordinators of Emilane Events. We loved love so much that we decided to make our passion our profession and help couples in KC and beyond write the most beautiful and stress free chapter of their story. When you work with us, we partner with you for tyour wedding day so we are the only ones working, and you can do all the celebrating!

Q: What sets you apart from other wedding coordinators?


A: There is no one that loves loves, and cares more about your details than we do! We are your ultimate hype squad, your professional opinion, your dream maker and detail fixer. We do not overtake your plans and are accessible at a moments notice, we truly come alongside you and work WITH you while we do all the hard work FOR you.



Q: How many Emilane Events team members will be at our wedding?


A: There is always at least two of us! If you would like to hire an additional assistant, we have a team of well vetted and trusted professionals ready to be added to your dream team! Each additional team member is $40 an hour. Let’s chat about it!

Q: Will my photos be posted publicly on your site or social media or printed in a magazine?


A: I respect your privacy and allow each client to decide whether or not they want their photos displayed publicly. I’d love to show off you & your images and a release to do so is in our contract. However if you refer we do not, we can discuss what keeps you comfortable and still allows us to share our business.



Q: My day and what we want falls outside of your packages, can we combine services?


A: Absolutely! We have an hourly rate of $100 for any extra time you’d like to add on with your two person team day of or for meetings. If you want to customize a package beyond additional time, we are happy to do so, tell us how we can partner with you and we will create a package just for you!

Q: Do you have a list of preferred vendors to use?


A: Yes! From wedding photographers to florists and caterers, we have worked with some of the best companies in the industry & would love to share their information with you!



Q: How can we leave a review for you?


A: We appreciate reviews more than you know as they help get our name to other couples that need our services, just like you! Leaving a review on the Knot is the best way to provide us feedback on your experience working with us!



Q: Do you offer any other services beyond coordination?


A: Emily is a licensed and ordained officiant should you require her services! She is ready to not just get you ready to walk down the aisle, but meet you there herself! Officiating a wedding is $150 and includes the rehearsal!


Q: Do you plan destination weddings or elopements?


A: Yes! We have planned quite a few out of state weddings and love a chance to travel! While we call KC home, talk to us about our travel rates and we will get your married anywhere your dreams take you!



Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?


A: A 50% deposit & signed contract is required in order to get your wedding on the calendar. The remainder of your balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding. If you want to talk about a personalized payment plan. we do offer installment plans.

wHat to expect:

Making it Official


Once your contract is signed and deposit received, your three most important dates are reserved, we mark our calendars for, your first meeting, rehearsal and wedding date! Then we get down to business! Providing preferred vendors, creating a design and mood board and supporting you however you need during your engagement.


Payment


A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure your date. The remaining 50% of your balance is due two weeks prior to your session. Talk to us about installment plans.

Scheduling


We know vendor meetings are crucial for your comfort and your vision to become reality. We are happy to attend. Please give us 30 days notice and we will be available to ask questions, offer support and provide guidance through it all!
